Task forces are the working groups that initiate, undertake, develop and manage all projects. They are grouped in four cludsters as indicatd above. Task forces reach their goals and address their issues through activities such as workshops, symposia, literature reviews and publications. They are composed of interested company representatives and non-industry experts as required.
Task forces generally have a limited lifespan. The establishment of a new task force results from a process through which a new activity proposal, after a review procedure via the Scientific Advisory Committee, is approved by the Board of Directors. Then, when sufficient support is secured from member companies (minimum 5), the task force is established.
Task forces can invite one or two non-industry experts, as necessary. A task force disbands when the programme is completed or if company support is below the required minimum. To achieve the objectives of the different projects, task forces can choose one or several tools.

Expert groups and workshops involve at least 50% non-industry experts. Anyone can apply for an expert position.
