The ILSI Europe Packaging Materials Task Force held a small roundtable-workshop on Guidance for Exposure Assessment of Substances Migrating from Food Packaging Materials on 21-22 March 2007 in Brussels.
An Expert Group commissioned by the Packaging Materials Task Force has drafted a guidance document describing practical and consistent ways on how exposure assessment can be undertaken for substances migrating from packaging materials.
The workshop critically assessed and tested the validity and viability of the draft guidance document, with a view to approval of its recommendations. For that purpose, a small group of high-level experts in the field has been invited.
