The SAFEFOODNET research project, funded under the 6th Framework Programme of the European Commission, will hold its final workshop on 12-13 January 2007 in Brussels, following the regional workshops conducted across Europe during the course of 2006. ILSI Europe as partner of the project is active in the dissemination phase and will organise the final workshop of the consortium.
The project connects independent research institutions, universities, government agencies, and ministries from across the EU. The objective is to harmonise and integrate the infrastructures and activities of the New Member Countries and Associated Candidate Countries in the field of chemical food safety with those of Old Member States and to provide the European Food Safety Authority with an expert network in the field of chemical food safety.
